This petite antique copper watering can has the graceful proportions and timeworn beauty that make antique garden pieces so appealing. Its long, elegant spout and detachable sprinkler rose give it the look of a classic English gardener’s watering can, while years of use have left the copper with a wonderfully warm, earthy red patina. I have not polished this, because I know so many of you love that old world patina.
On the underside, where the dealer had a sticker when I bought it, shows the old copper color. The petite size is just right for watering small potted plants, indoor plants, or hanging baskets. I love the idea of leaving it on a potting bench or shelf with your antique gardening books when it isn't in use. Its shape is reminiscent of a Haws watering can, although there are no maker's markings. The sprinkler rose is detachable. Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
