Antique 19th Century Gilt Photograph Frame with Merlot Velvet Insert, bought at market recently in Europe. The oval frame has a twisted gilt metal surround, and a stunning flowing French ribbon bow at the top. The liner is a beautiful deep wine merlot velvet to surround the photograph of someone you love in rich history and charm. The frame comes with the original photograph of a young lady.

The inner liner is a little bent here and there, to be expected of a frame more than 100 years old. A beautiful way to frame a photograph, we have left the original photo of a young woman inside, but you will want to add a photo of a family member, little person or your favorite dog, of course. A small hole to add a nail to hang this on your wall. A wonderful addition to your collection of antique French ormolu and gilt metal frames.
