A lovely English muffineer in cobalt blue and white jasperware, this antique piece features  graceful Neoclassical goddesses in raised white relief against a rich cobalt blue ground. The classical figure, delicate borders, and finely detailed ornament give it the timeless elegance that makes antique jasperware so wonderful to collect.

The silver-plated pierced top is a beautiful complement to the blue ceramic body, adding a touch of sparkle and practicality. A tiny piece of white clay is fused to the blue surface from the original firing, a small production irregularity that is visible in the photographs.Marked in blue underneath Guaranteed English, this sugar shaker would be equally lovely on a tea table or gathered with other blue and white antiques. Small antique table pieces like this are wonderful reminders that the most charming collections are often built one special little find at a time.
