Details

19th Century Ironstone Sauce Tureen, made between 1852-1883 by James William Pankhurst, in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, England. A rare smaller sized tureen, a vessel of refined elegance, testament to a bygone era of craftsmanship and gracious dining. The pristine white surface has a luminous quality and exudes a timeless sophistication. Specifically designed for serving sauces for the 'pudding' {dessert} course, this beauty will keep your finest sauces and gravies warm, ready to be presented at your discerning table.

From a time when every detail of the dining experience was considered an art form. In good antique condition, this statement piece & conversation starter is marked on the bottom. It's a cherished heirloom, destined to grace your home with its understated opulence for generations to come. Small kiln dark spots and a few under rim nibbles as shown.
