19th Century French Maison Deschildre Paris Couturier's Mannequin

19th Century French Dressmaker's Mannequin made for and used by Maison Deschildre, Paris et Amiens. This was a true dressmaker's dummy, she is higher than most because she was used to model long elegant evening gowns and wedding gowns with trains. The shop made her non-adjustable. The original fabric has all the discoloration, wear and patina you can imagine happened with over 100 years of workshop use.

This girl has personality, provenance and spunk! Perfect to model your collection of antique gowns. Original labels on the bottom. The fabric is worn especially around the neck. At one time, she was covered with green fabric, but she is back to her original muslin as intended. Purchased from a collector in France. Please only add her to your collection of girls if you love her in all her shabbiness. Her arm coverings are heavy board.

  • Measures 65"; 25" waist.
