Rare Large 19th Century English Tole Tray in a deep Auburn Red with hand painted floral design. The tray features a classic Chippendale shape with a central floral bouquet with large and small flowers and berries in white and red. The tray is huge, and the painted scrollwork and wispy delicate trailing details is beautifully sone and specific to the tray’s time period.
A deep dark color, with tones of brown over the maroon wine, with both black dark painted elements, golden yellow, red, darkest green, and golden yellow. A wonderful large size, this would be a wonderful tray to set on top of an ottoman {or smaller table as a base} as a tray table. There is wear and a few scratches commiserate with the age of this lovely. Please only adopt if you can love the grace and storied of time and antiques.
