Fine Antique Lebolt & Co. Sterling Silver Rose Bowl Centerpiece with Crystal Insert, a beautiful sterling silver bowl encasing the crystal insert. This is a centerpiece bowl, which could be used for a stunning floral arrangement of lush roses, or used to serve a small fruit compote. Made by Chicago silversmith Lebolt & Co. – J. Myer Lebolt added a hand made silversmithing department to his family’s Chicago jewelry store in 1912. LeBolt also had a retail store in Paris in the 1920’s to sell their fine silver.

This bowl has a beautiful reticulated sterling silver design all around, it sits on four ball feet. The reeded rim and classic handles bridge the era of art nouveau and art deco design. The front features a curvaceous monogram of ‘A’ on an Art Deco shield. A gorgeous piece, the crystal bowl does have damage as shown, two chips, which the family had smoothed over professionally as far as possible. {Most likely both of these happened when someone hit the rim too hard with a serving spoon!}Fortunately, they line up with the handle and are not too noticable. Priced accordingly, this is a stunner if you can live with the grace of time.
