Art Deco Blue Guilloche & Silver Plated Ice or Olive Tong, absolutely gorgeous! This unusual 1930’s guilloche enameled mechanical tong is in wonderful condition. It has a “sprung” mechanism, you push down on the top to open the bottom. You push down on the top and the bottom “claws” open up.
The two top circular parts are a deep cobalt blue, the cobalt blue translucent french enamel is in beautiful condition. Marked A. Scharning, Norway, a company known for mastering the French enameling technique. A stellar addition to your bar cart, perfect as an ice tong or to serve olives in your martinis.
