Antique Staffordshire Style Poodle Mantel Dog Holding a Flower and Fruit Basket

Antique Staffordshire Style Poodle Mantel Dog Holding a Flower and Fruit Basket, such a charmer! Dogs like this were made in Staffordshire, England, as well as in Germany in the late 1800’s, early 1900’s. This standard poodle is all white, he stands on a base covered with green grass. He is beautifully modeled, has a lovely textured coat, and marked on the bottom.

Staffordshire style figures like this were typically placed on a mantelpiece with less detailing in the back, but this poodle is fully decorated all around. With beautiful colors and nice proportions, the poodle stands with what is called ‘split legs’ which makes him harder to make and more rare to find. Stunning decorative addition to your home. One of the tiny green leaves has been professionally repaired, other than that this is in wonderful antique condition. A rare find for those of you who adore dogs of any kind.

Measures 4″ x1-7/8″x 4″h.
