Elegant Antique Black and Gold Tole Peinte Covered Chestnut Urn decorated with gilt chinoiserie, the metal dished top has a gilt finial. The elongated shaped toleware urn has an oval base and gilt loop lion head ring handles, the body of the urn is conical in shape, decorated with gilded Chinoiserie garden scenes and birds.
This is such a charming accent piece, it is in very good age~appropriate condition with minor wear to the gilt as expected in pieces of this age. There is a slight bend to a portion of the foot, a charming testament to its age.
