Antique French Madonna Devotional Statue, bought in France. This one is finely modeled, a serene Virgin Mary for your collection. She is signed by Pieraggini and P.P déposé {registered model}on the back of the base.
Not perfect, the finish has come off the very tip of her nose and she has incurred some chips as shown over the last century. Her unusual warm brown tones with touches of gilt make her a rarer to find piece.
