Antique 19th Century French Empire Old Paris Porcelain Sprig Bluebell Urn Form Sauce Tureen & Cover, such a beautiful piece! Set on a tall pedestal base with large animal or lion’s paw feet, this makes quite a statement. The pristine white porcelain compote and cover have wonderfully painted bluebell flowers on them. On the sides three applied figural faces add an extra special elegant touch.
The cover, compote and base are accented with hand applied gilt. The cover has an opening for you to insert your favorite sterling ladle. A wonderful addition to your collection of Old Paris porcelain, in good condition – some wear to the gilding as shown, which is to be expected. The rim of the compote has a slight indentation, it can be felt, this was glazed over when it was made and is does not detract. Perfect to use, this displays beautifully.
