Rare Antique Majolica Plate with Horse Chestnut Leaf design. Such a gorgeous and unusual color combination for this particular plate, the scalloped edge has so much detail. The chestnut leaf is highly colored, on a cream white background, it is encircled by a brown basket weave pattern.
Little white flowers peek out behind the leaf. This is one of the most ornate art nouveau designs, the plate has a lustrous shine. Made by Isidor Faist in the early to mid 1800’s, marked on the back. A decorative and beautiful addition to your collection of plates.
