French Country charm at its best, this 19th Century French Water Jug with Greige Glaze was hand made in the Auvergne region. This water jug or cruche dates from the mid-19th Century, stoneware jugs such as this one were perfect to store water and carry it out to the fields when working.
Glazed in the classic gres color, this decorative vessel has the incised initials G M on the front, and a 3 on the handle.
