Availability: 1 in stock

19th Century Blue & White Staffordshire Oval Serving Platter, a great large size, made by Maddock & Sons, of Burslem, Staffordshire, England. The factory was founded in 1855, Maddock & Sons made heavy quality “Vitreous China” and are especially beloved for Flow Blue. This platter has a decorative floral design of Lilies all around the scalloped edges in a wide border.

A fabulous addition to your ironstone or blue and white Victorian pottery, this truly is a beauty! Marked on the back, it is in very good antique condition, the gilt trim has worn away over the last 100 years, this was loved and used for special Sunday dinners and holidays. Display this on a stand on your mantel, or use it to serve one of your gourmet dinners with gracious style to your family and guests. It’s rare to find such a large platter, most are 12″ at best.
