Set a Golden Harvest Fall Table

Thanksgiving Inspiration
I've missed all of you! I've had some blog "not working" behind-the-scenes-drama lately, but I'm happy to say we're almost back to normal, and I can start posting more regularly again. : ) Today I'm sharing a Golden Harvest Fall Table, just right for any special occasion. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and a harvest theme was the inspiration for this table setting and floral centerpiece.

Welcome to Monday Morning Blooms!

For this Monday, Pam, Mary and I are sharing our flower inspirations with a harvest theme. I wanted to highlight the golden tones of harvest with the dishes and glassware, so that those gathered around our table would feel the glow of the golden harvest fields. I chose a very neutral palette for this table setting. This harvest table features lots of gold and silver, it's toned down by the earthy linen. Along with the sumptuous gold, you can't miss the gorgeous cream and white floral centerpiece. It stands in the middle of beautiful fresh eucalyptus branches, peppered with small velvet pumpkins in white and taupe, and a few real mini white pumpkins. For this table setting, the wood of the table and an antique French linen runner add earthy allure. I added some faux antlers I've had forever for their velvety texture. I set each place setting with gilded porcelain plates, antique mother of pearl and sterling flatware. The beautiful vintage goblets with a gilt border enhance the elegant charm of this setting. Each setting also has a personalized place card with a gilded acorn to make our guests feel special. To top it all off...I layered on the most exquisite napkins I have ever seen {or felt!} I was told these came from a European noble household, and the incredible monogram and tiny hand embroidered famlly crest attest to that. They are luxury at its finest, the feel of them is like pure silk. The flowers really are the star of this table with their tone-on-tone luxurious look. The soft grey greens of the eucalyptus on the table surrounding the bouquet {in a clear vase} gives it a spectacular landing spot. I wanted to show you that a simple bouquet of flowers is perfect for a grand holiday table. I think sometimes we over think, at least I do, and feel like the flowers have to be some difficult to make arrangement. But nothing could be further from the truth. TIP: If you want to make your flower bouquet look simply elegant, choose flowers all in one color. Always works! I chose flowers that are all in one color family of whites and cream, the roses have a hint of blush, but just barely. Especially during the holidays, I love the way all white, or cream and white flowers look.

Your table is an inspiration. I have similar plates. The flower arrangement gives me so many ideas to use the foliage in my yard that still remains after our freeze in Raleigh

Lidy, Your table is so elegant with your gilded treasures! I would have to frame those exquisite nobility napkins and enjoy the monogram and beauty behind glass so they would stay pristine. :) Your table and arrangement is perfect for anytime year and would transition beautifully for the holidays, removing the pumpkins and replacing them with Christmas ornaments or baubles. Thank you for the beauty this morning, it’s always treat to join you for some flower therapy. <3
