Antique ephemera with oceans, shells and seaside resort themes are beloved and collected by many. Framed, they make a charming statement on any wall, unframed, they are a joy to be looked at again and again. One of my favorite ways to display these tiny colorful treasures is on a tray, underneath a piece of glass on our table. I do make sure not to place wet glasses or vases on the tray to preserve these paper antiques.}

One favorite way to connect with the ocean long ago was to wear a cameo, hand carved by master craftsmen in Italy. Ladies who traveled on a Grand Tour often came home with a brooch, or necklace, or several!
