Easter is a time for renewal, joy, and gathering with all the people you love. What better way to celebrate than with a beautifully set table or buffet that reflects the spirit of the season? Here are some tips and ideas to create an Easter table that's inviting and charming.
This month Mary, Pam and I are joyfully welcoming our friend Sarah from Hyacinths for the Soul. I'll be sharing the links for you to visit each one so you get all the gorgeous floral inspiration!
I'm not sure why, but no matter what date Easter happens, it always seems to sneak up on me. You too?
Whether you're hosting a casual Easter brunch or a cozy family dinner, a thoughtful table setting can elevate the entire experience.
On this gorgeous spring morning I set a little round table for Easter, having my four little people in mind. This bright floral tablecloth is a wonderful beginning, it has all the colors of spring!
Pastel perfection with a pop of brightness, the floral pattern has pink, lavender, green and peach in light and bright tones. This cloth evokes the freshness of spring, doesn't it?
The flowers {white alstroemeria, pink wax flowers and a few blue hydrangeas} look pretty in an antique white ironstone pitcher. To incorporate a natural spring element, I gently set a nest on the top and filled it with really lightweight speckled eggs.
Because this is a children's table, I found these darling Peter Rabbit candy boxes at Home Goods. Each little person has one on their plate.
What would an Easter table be without a bunny? My small table has room for just one, she's white and a perfect match for the white dishes.
Instead of a mix an match setting, I opted to use two sizes of the Meissen Pink Rose plates. A salad plate, and the larger plate. Their scalloped edges and hand painted pink roses seemed a wonderful choice for an Easter table.
{We have always eaten from antique plates without any health worries, but if you ever want to use an antique plate for serving and you are worried about that, a simple clear glass plate used over the top gives you all the beauty without the concern.}
These gorgeous linen napkins with bees are one of my all time favorites and seemed right for a springtime garden setting, as did the mix and match antique knives and Ercuis French silverware.
Before we leave the garden, I'd love to share a little spot that is a favorite of mine. I received a 'garden make-over' during the Covid years as a birthday gift, and this fountain, which I love.
Just in time for Easter, the plants are beginning to really do their best!

Hello, Lidy. I am sorry I am late to comment, but I had to go out on an errand. I love your tablecloth, it looks like spring. Dining alfresco is always perfect, especially in a garden. The Meissen Rose plates are lovely, as well as the floral arrangement of wax flowers, alstroemeria, and hydrangeas. All children love Peter Rabbit and I know your four grands will be excited over the candy boxes. Your garden is showing wonderful signs of spring, a fountain is always delightful and I know it was a wonderful gift. It is always a pleasure to join you for Monday Morning Blooms! Happy Easter, Lidy!

Good morning, Lidy. I’m so happy to join you alfresco at that colorful table. Love the bistro chairs! Your arrangement of white alstroemeria, and pink wax flowers with a touch blue hydrangeas makes a perfect centerpiece. I know your four littles are going to delight sitting at this table with their fun Peter Rabbit poppers. The vintage and antique pieces are music to my heart. Your Meissen Pink Rose plates are perfect for this setting and the antique pieces of flatware, be still my heart! Those monogramed knives!!!! Of course, the peek at your garden also fills my heart with joy. Love the fountain tucked in among the plants. Your plot looks full and healthy. I buy the grape hyacinths from Trader Joe’s each season, enjoy them on the table or such out on the terrace, then once they have bloomed out, I transplant them into the garden beds. They don’t exactly thrive, but they do survive and a few blooms will pop up. I need to learn more about how to encourage the blooms, though it might just be too hot here. I still enjoy the dancing green leaves even if no blooms appear.
Thanks for including me in today’s Monday Morning Blooms. It’s always a treat and an honor to join. Happy Easter!

Good morning Lidy! Your pink cottage rose tablecloth is such a cheery and vibrant foundation for a Spring or Easter table in your garden! I adore the addition of the bird’s nest and eggs in your centerpiece and the Peter Rabbit candy boxes are adorable. The Meissen Rose plates are lovely as are your linen napkin with bees. What a pretty area in your garden with your fountain! I love a water feature in the garden for the tranquil sound and wildlife that it attracts. As always, it’s a treat to share some flower therapy with you. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. 🐰 🌸🐇💗
