I agree! There is nothing like a kitchen at holiday time, the mixture of all the smells brings instant memories to all of us, doesn’t it? Merry Christmas, Alice.

Thank you so much, Aimee. I wish you and those you love a very Merry Christmas too! Thank you for your kind compliment on the wreath, it’s one I made for a Christmas story for Victorian Homes Magazine a few years ago.

Beautifully casual and meaningful, Lidy! I love the St. Nicholas that was your mother’s and the one you hand-painted. The tree at night looks beautiful. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Your home is so beautiful, Lidy. I have been blessed with your hospitality on many occasions and each time I feel so special. I love that Monsieur Couchon is dressed for the Holidays. I’m glad you’re enjoying your cup and saucer. I will have to get another for Mr FGH. He needs some hot chocolate also. Merry Christmas to you and your family. By-the-way, I loved the picture of sweet Bentley in your previous post.

What a special place to cook, eat meals with your family, and have a cup of latte. I love everything about your kitchen area. So cheerful, and filled with FrenchCountry and antiques, lovely. Merry Christmas!

Lidy, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with your followers. I love seeing all of the special touches you add to truly make it a unique and loving home. Your family is very lucky to have someone that takes the time to make the holidays so memorable! Wishing you all a blessed holiday season.
The favorite part of my holiday kitchen; my string of angels hanging in front of the window which always make me smile when I see them!!!

The smells ! There is evergreens, spices simmering in a teapot, cookies baking, persimmon bread waiting to be wrapped, and nuts to share. I love baking and sharing and those who receive are kind enough to say they look forward to receiving their Christmas bags. I’m like a child in a cany store every year, just pure Joy, dreaming up the many goodies to bake and share. Isn’t that what everyone does?

I have just discovered your blog. Everything is beautiful!
I have seen pigs, like your gentleman pig Monsieur Couchon. Is there a story behind this pigs in the kitchen decor?
