Christmas Memories Floral Arrangment

Christmas arrangements are the backbone of my Christmas decorating. I love styling little holiday moments around the house, mostly with fresh flowers and greens, and small antique decorative accents. A little Christmas Memories Floral Arrangement like this is so easy to make!

WELCOME TO OUR DECEMBER MONDAY MORNING BLOOMS!

Pam, Mary and I have been busy decorating our homes, and are sharing holiday floral inspiration for the season. I'll share their links at the end of the post so you can visit them too.

After making merry and bringing bright spirits to all our clients at FrenchGardenHouse, I'll admit I go easy on myself for Christmas. I decorate, of course, but I mostly rely on our antiques and fresh greens and flowers to set the stage for holiday parties and family time gathering around the tree.

The tree takes center stage, it's filled with antique glass ornaments, special ornaments I bought for my Mom, and a few ornaments from my girls' childhood tree {I gave them the rest for their own trees at their home.} And some home made loved ornaments my little people made for us.

I am keeping things fairly simple this year as I mentioned, with just greens on the mantel, and little gold and silver mercury glass votives. This fabulous 18th century Christ Child is displayed in the center, along with a few silvered glass ball ornaments. On the coffee table I still need to add a candle in the middle of the bowl of greens and pinecones.

I cozied up two Louis XV chairs to the French Marriage Cabinet by the fireplace. When my Mom was still alive, she loved to come over in the afternoon, drink tea and a cordial {or a few!} by the fire, and hand me ornaments to hang on the tree. I think of this each time I decorate our tree, with sweet memories.

While I tend to favor the softer colors of Christmas, my Mom was of the opinion that if there is no red, it's not Christmas. {She told me so each year she came over, in her no-nonsense European way.} It's why I called this little flower arrangement Christmas Memories Floral Arrangement, because I added red in her memory!

You can turn a few of your last garden flowers into a festive holiday arrangement to use in your holiday home. Use what you have to make a beautiful Christmas Memories Floral Arrangement in minutes.

For this sweet little bundle of floral joy, I gathered some white French Lace roses, white alstroemeria, seeded eucalyptus, evergreens, and a few cranberry ranunculus from Trader Joe's.

Just a few vintage red miniature ornaments tucked into the bouquet adds a touch of holiday too. I gathered the purple privet berries from a neighbor's garden {with permission, of course!}

Small ranunculus from Trader Joe's came in a tiny bundle of red and burgundy colors, they add just the right accent.

A small Christmas arrangement like this can go anywhere, in your entrance hall, in your guest bathroom, on a little side table. The beauty of a small arrangment like this is that once these flowers fade, you can just pop in new flowers {after you change the water} and the greens will most likely last throughout the December month.

I love how the reds echo the beautiful antique Bohemian Glass Liqueur Set, part of a collection of antique cranberry glass ware we just purchased for our FrenchGardenHouse shop.

Thank you so much for joining me today as I finish decorating our home for the holidays. I hope you will make some small Christmas floral arrangements to place in a few special places at home. Christmas is such a wonderful time, not only filled with family and friends, but also the day we celebrate the Light of the World.

Merry Monday Lidy! I’m sorry I’m late visiting as I was out the door before the sun was up this morning for an appointment and it’s been a whirlwind day. I love your petite arrangement! It’s the perfect accent for an occasional or coffee table. I adore Ranunculus and pop of color they provide, along with ornaments, in your arrangement. I’ve never seen purple privet berries, it’s nice to have neighbors that allow you to ‘prune’ their shrubs and trees. ;) I got a kick out of reading about your mom and her no-nonsense opinion of red at Christmas. I feel the same way, but your palette of whites and golds in your tree is stunning and soothing too for this busy time of year. As always, it’s a treat to share blooms with you on these Mondays. Wishing you wonderful week ahead. ♥🎄

Gorgeous arrangement, Lidy. I love your loose style in arranging. For such a small arrangement, it sure packs a punch for impression! Love the added ornaments and the privet berries. Those roses are stunning! Merry holidays to you. I love the memory of your mom giving her unsolicited decorating advice while having her cordial (or few!). Lol. Giving our opinions doesn’t cost a thing – a gift that is endless, lol!

Merry Monday dear Lidy!!! How so beautiful your living room is with all the exquisite antiques among your Christmas decor! The tree is magnificent and always love how you tie in your beautiful floral creations into your rooms. Love the ranunculus! They haven’t made it here to my TJ’s yet. I must have been channeling your mom as I recently added red to my Christmas decor! Wishing you a very Merry week!!!!

Merry Monday, Lidy! I love your beautiful arrangement placed next to the fireplace! The sweet little bundle of white French Lace roses, white alstroemeria, seeded eucalyptus, evergreens, and a few cranberry ranunculus from Trader Joe’s is perfect for the holiday season. I agree with your mother, you have to use some red in your Christmas decor. The Bohemian glass liqueur set is exquisite. I have Bohemian glass envy.

I know your home is beautifully dressed for the most wonderful time of the year, Lidy! It is always a pleasure to join you for our Monday Morning Blooms!
