Autumn French Sailor Cocktail
Early Autumn is perfect to spend some time with French Sailors. The Autumn French Sailor Cocktail, I mean. Autumn here at FrenchGardenHouse is glorious, it's still warm enough in the evenings to entertain outside in the back garden. Making it perfect {yes, we're still there!} for having guests over during this time. I thought I'd share this cocktail, the Autumn French Sailor Cocktail for you to enjoy at home this season. It's super easy, just a few ingredients, and delicious! Autumn French Sailor Cocktail The Autumn French Sailor Cocktail is different, and perfect for fall. It has warm Cointreau, giving your drink a stronger orange flavor than any other. Because the drink is warmed up, the orange flavor comes through beautifully, and is so soothing. It's the perfect drink for an evening after a long week, and for gathering with a few friends around your outdoors fire pit. {or fireplace!} I am having three girlfriends over this week for dinner, and we will start with cocktails by the fire in the garden. Since we're having a fairly simple dinner, a cocktail like this sets the tone and really makes the evening feel special, doesn't it? I will also be serving a refreshing Grapefruit Gin Fizz Cocktail, so that there is a choice. AUTUMN FRENCH SAILOR RECIPE

Here is how to make the Autumn French Sailor Cocktail:

AUTUMN FRENCH SAILOR RECIPE

  1. Warm the cointreau {I just put it in a small saucepan}
  2. Add 1-2 two of your luxury lemon infused sugar cubes to each glass.
  3. Pour the warmed Cointreau into a glass. {Be sure it is just warm, not super hot so that you crack the glasses!}
  4. Add the Citron vodka, and stir to dissolve the sugar cubes.
  5. Garnish with an orange slice, an orange twist, or sometimes I like to add a sprig of rosemary from the garden.

Thank you! I’m looking forward to it!
I love stemware too, Denise! Every drink tastes just a little bit better in a stemmed glass, don’t you think?!

How fun to entertain your gal pals and catch up with each other. I love using my stemware (I have a weakness for them) and always like a new recipe to share with them! Enjoy your evening. Sounds like it’s time to get the girls together!

This looks totally delightful! I love my time with my girlfriends! A choice of cocktail is wonderful, but that French sailor’s drink sounds delish!
