Lidy, I can see how that would be a real treat! I’ve not been since before Monnie’s health issues became my only priority. He kept asking me if I wanted to make a trip, but I honestly did not. No way did my heart want to be anywhere but with him. A close friend is going to Chatou in March. We both went together in 2018, my last trip. She will no doubt keep her eyes open for things she knows would catch my eye as well. It was on that trip that I began a new obsession of French sterling baby teething rings which I use as napkin rings. I brought home five that trip to add to my own American baby teething ring. I’d like to add more so I can have at least eight for a dinner party. Happy armchair shipping.

Sarah, thank you so much, friend. I’m not sure when we will go this year to Europe, it’s all a little up in the air currently. : ) Luckily I have many friends there that are dealers, and with facetime they can take me to their treasure hunt and I choose exactly what I want shipped! {It’s actually really a fun and great way to go, I sit here with coffee in my warm home, they traipse around the French country side in the cold.}

Lidy, I must have flowers always! I grew up with fresh flowers in our home from my mother’s garden. Mother always had a vase beside our beds, on the table, here and there in our home. I try to do the same in our home. It’s a pleasure to look back at a year of your beautiful posts. Your finely curated collections always catch my eye. I miss shopping the markets of France. When is your next trip?
Happy New Year! I look forward to more Monday Morning Blooms!

Hi Alice,
Thanks so much for your visit, and for asking about Mr. FGH. He’s doing well, the first week was a little crazy
{also because it was the week before Christmas, our daughter and her family were flying in, and I had the look
of an elf caught in the headlights for awhile} but the second week is much, much better. He’s back to walking
without any help or canes etc. and back to driving. He’d love to garden, but that’s still a no-no.
Wishing you a blessed New Year!

Whew! All deserve a place in a magazine. So much thought in each. Here in Colorado where flower growing season is so short I don’t have the flowers you do. What with citrus trees at your demand, I’m Envious.
I do want to ask about Mr. FGH and pray he has fully recovered from surgery and hope you both have a happy and healthy new year.
