DECORATE FOR AUTUMN WITH FAUX FLOWERS

Although we love celebrating autumn with fresh jewel toned flowers, sometimes it's just not practical.

Not all areas have fantastic florists or farmer's markets that offer flowers in fall, and we also don't have time to arrange, freshen water and look after fresh bouquets in every room.

Sometimes, a great f a k e {yes!} is perfect for a long lasting display of floral goodness. Our autumn LES BELLES FLEURS COLLECTION launched today! I've spent hours curating this assortment of blooms, finding beautiful flowers that mimic the ones in nature. The result? Beautiful arrangements, bundles of flower stems and topiaries that are a joy to use in your home to warm up the season. Here are a few fresh takes on how to transform your home with our LES BELLES FLEURS COLLECTION. 1. SET THE STAGE. In our living room, these two potted topiaries are just the touch of fall the sterling tea tray needs for this season. Better together, the hand painted tole cachepots add a touch of gold, too! 2. FAKE IT! On the living room table, I arranged this bundle of Butterfly Bush Flowers in an antique French jar. I love it! Airy, with the warm colors of fall, and just right mixed in with a few branches from our front garden. A few inches of water adds to the illusion - a fool the eye trick I often use! 3. ARTFULLY ARRANGED. The realism of the flowers these days is incredible. The artistry of the arranger is the key to creating a luxury look with faux, and the designs I've created for our collection for fall celebrate flowers in ways that you just can't do with real flowers. Each one is a work of art, a celebration of our love of nature. 4. UNEXPECTED PLACES. The beauty of faux florals is that you can use them everywhere, in places where bouquets of real flowers either wouldn't get enough light, or would be high maintenance. Need a little spot of color and charm in your bathroom? Faux florals to the rescue! Even a petit potted rose brings a bit of romance and elegance to your space. 5. GO SINGLE. Artificial flowers have been around for at least 3000 years. Nothing will replace those living flowers with their beauty and magical quality. but our faux single stems are pretty close to the real thing! I am always excited when I curate the single blooms to offer at FrenchGardenHouse, their beauty tells an exciting story in our homes. This season, I found an exciting color of hydrangea, whether you use them by themselves, or mix them in with one of our other bouquets or bundles, they tell the story of autumn with a gorgeous palette. And then there are these....after editing the photos, I sadly did not get a great one of these. But honestly....they are so striking. They are stems with a velvety soft finish in deep burgundy wine, and are beautiful all by themselves arranged in a large container, and magical mixed in with your bouquets you might have, or with our other bundles or bouquets.

Jane, the little pears are part of the topiaries…aren’t they charming? They are French Country traditional, with a nod to fun {there’s that fun word again!} because they are so tiny. : )

I love that idea, Jean! Spraying your perfume so that the faux flowers smell real. I hope you are having a happy beginning of fall, dear friend.

So may ideas here to love, Lidy! I’m curious about the little fruits (pears?) in your cache pots. They are adorable. Do you have them in your shop?

I like to make tall arrangements in urns or large flowers buckets to have in corners to draw the eye up but not appear faux on close inspection. I’m really loving the butterfly bush stems.

They all look beautiful, Lidy! Now you have inspired me to get my favorite fall fauxs and use some of them in my tall copper pot/vase I dug out of the basement yesterday. Faux is perfect for it as I’m not sure it’s fully watersafe anymore!
