Glorious Antique French Santo's Crown, Crown of Mary dates from the mid 19th century and was used to adorn a devotional statue, most certainly of the Virgin Mary. It is created from a stunning crystals in many colors set in an ornate and intricate gilded metal framework.
Brilliant and sparkling, this very small size is quite rare to find. Made to fit smaller devotional figures, most likely for a home chapel or devotional niche. A fabulous addition to your collection of religious crowns, a stunning example of religious decorative art from 19th century France. The crown was made open in the back so that it can fit several sizes.
