Antique French Open Hand Painted Porcelain Inkwell, made of pristine white porcelain, four sided. Beautifully hand painted with garden florals featuring a large pink rose on two sides. Hand accented with 24 kt gold foliate design on the other two sides, and embellished with gold details on the sides and top of the inkwell.
From the First Empire Period, early 1800's. Painted in the Old Paris style. A wonderful addition to your French desk, to hold a favorite pen, or perhaps a lovely single rose from your garden. An heirloom addition to your collection of ink wells.
