Gorgeous Polychrome Staffordshire Plate, featuring a wonderful quaint scene of ducks and chickens in a pond, horses and riders, and a gathering of men being served lunch outside a charming country Inn. The colors were hand painted on the brown transfer printed plate.
The border is an exquisite mix of farm implements including a rake, hoe, shovel and bee skep mixed with lattice, and a garland featuring ivy and berries. Just gorgeous! This collectible plate was made by Royal Staffordshire Pottery, A J Wilkinson, of Burslem England, in the late 1940’s. Perfect to display as a decorative piece of pottery art on a shelf, your mantel or wall, or to add to your collection.
