Antique Hand Painted AK Limoges Gilt Rose Garland Serving Bowl with beautiful decoration in Pink, Light Blue and Gilt on a soft White ground. Made by AK Limoges { Klingenberg } Limoges France. This large serving bowl was first transfer printed, then hand painted in studio. This bowl was made in 1903.

The K&D factory closed its doors in 1910. The ground is soft White, with a delicate hand painted color of Robin’s Egg Blue in the center. Hand painted gold paste work is what makes this a work of art, flower garlands and floral basket motifs are expertly painted. On the embossed and scalloped edges, a touch of gilt sponging. There is some wear to the gilt, as shown.
