Vintage Red Transfer Farmhouse Large Plates Set of 2

Beautiful decorative Vintage Red Transfer Round Plate made by Homer Laughlin from a Currier & Ives Print, called Home Sweet Home. Although their line of Currier and Ives was short lived, it is recognized as the first ware of its kind to successfully translate the transfer patterns found on expensive fine quality English china onto quality everyday dinnerware. The scene is of a farmhouse by a river, with cows and sheep grazing and taking a drink under the verdant cover of trees.

Gorgeous color, some call this pink, others call it red. Whatever you call it, it mixes beautifully with all your transfer antique dishes and ironstone. A fine quality addition to your collection, display with your antique plates, platters and tureens, on your hutch, to use at your table to serve cakes, desserts, breads, everything.

Set of 2, these are slightly different shades. One has an under-edge chip which only shows on the back.
