A very sturdy Hotel Silver 2 Pt. Tea Pot GM Hotels from England, with art deco styling. Pots like this were used in hotels, this early 20th century pot was made BSL Silver Co. in England. BSL manufactured silver for hotels, and for railways and cruise lines. Hotel silver is a very heavy silver plate, usually triple plated over another type of metal to make it very durable for hotel and commercial use. Marked on the bottom.
This teapot has been used and loved through the years and the imperfections add to the patina. At one time, an unfortunate waiter probably dropped it {and got quite scolded!} there is a small dent on one side. This doesn’t bother me, as it adds to the history and life story of this piece, but please only buy this if you can love it this way. A wonderful size, and that clean lined deco style is what makes this pot a beauty!
