Hand Made Country Knife Box Caddy with Light Green Paint, this handmade utensil caddy was crafted of hardwood. Made with attention to detail, sturdy and well built. Used in European and American kitchens in the late 1800’s through the mid 1900’s, to carry flatware from the kitchen to the dining room.
Also called knife and fork tray, cutlery tray or knife box, this wood utensil tote is ready for another lifetime of use in your French Country home. Darkening inside, at some point a family member dry-brush painted the outside light green. {meaning this is not the original paint} Not just for the dining room or kitchen, this would make a handy storage piece on top of your desk, in your studio, or even dressing room to hold your wallet, keys and jewelry.
