French Wicker Encased Wine Bottle

Fabulous if you love the look of provencal French country pieces, this wine bottle was once commonly found in every French home. Originally designed to keep wine {in dire straits water} cool, the hand woven cover kept the contents cool in the sunshine.

Hand-woven by basketmakers long ago, this will give such flair to your table, or as display with some of your other French Country antiques. Great to display in your wine bar, cuisine, or dining room with other bonbonnes. What makes this one special is that it has retained it’s original wicker cap.
