Early 19th Century Staffordshire Spill Vase With Lovers

Wonderful Early 19th Century Staffordshire Spill Vase With Lovers and a bird. This charming piece has a sweet couple asleep in each others arms, under a tree. They are watched over by a blue bird as they dream of a cottage covered in roses. {I love their small little black shoes!}

The tree has bocage in colors of leafy green and touches of red, the figures were hand painted in jewel tones, accented with gold. The tree trunk has light grey with a gilt highlight. There is a hairline on the back which I’m not sure isn’t a kiln mishap that most of these very early pieces can have. In good antique condition, this is a more rare to find figure.
