Antique Small Fishing Trade Card, a whimsical design of a lady fishing. Super fun if you fish, or know a lady that does! From the “Fishes and Fishing” series (N108), issued in 1888 to promote Honest Long Cut Tobacco, manufactured by W. Duke Sons & Co. Beautiful chromolithographic colors.
Not for the perfectionist, from a private collection, the back was at one time pasted down in a Victorian collector’s album. Cards in this series are on permanent display at the Met museum.
