Rare Antique Majolica Cider Jug or Pitcher with Bramble Design, in a stunning light cream. Pitchers like this are more common to find in brown colors, to find one in this delightful light cream is rare. A thrilling find, the pitcher features a bramble design, with raspberry vines with flowers and multi-colored leaves on a tree bark background. The twig or branch handle is brown, the interior is a lovely pink.
A stunner for your collection, in good condition with the expected glaze crazing, some light wear on the rim and a flat chip on the bottom. Beautiful colors of cream, gold, pink, lavender purple, green and brown. One of the best majolica pitchers I’ve found in the last few years.
