Stunning Antique Hand Painted French Porcelain Chocolate Pot with Pink Roses and Violets, such a beauty. Right up front, I’ll disclose that the lid has been professionally restored/stabilized, as it has a fissure. The family loved this beauty so much that they had it restored and stabilized as best as a professional could make it, the lid is stable, but you can see the line of the old fissure. Other than that, it’s exceptional! Pots like this were made by all the Limoges factories, this early one is unmarked.
Painted by hand in the most luscious roses in white and pink on the soft green background, with sweet purple violets, signed by the artist. An elegant foot and touches of hand applied 24kt gilt make her so very elegant, too! Please only adopt her if you love her as much as generations of her first family did, with a repaired lid. Displays beautifully, the flowers are exceptionally well painted. Priced accordingly.
