Beautiful Antique Gilt Brass Over-sized Photo Frame, this is a really large frame. In the style of Apollo and the other ‘boudoir’ accessory makers, the frame has ornate gilded brass pierced embellishments on each side. The mat is creamy buttercup yellow, it is painted on the underside of the glass.
This beauty is able to stand or hang, whichever you prefer. The inside liner is a later replacement of Italian marbled paper. What a wonderful frame for a favorite large photograph, or to frame a work of art or antique print. In good antique condition, there is some wear to the black on the back card insert as shown. {the marriage license is a reproduction print.}
