Antique French Tole Peinte Green Tray, a smaller tôle work tray, hand painted with exceptional art work – roses and floral sprays in pale rose pinks, faded red, violet, soft sky blue & muted sage greens on a forest green ground. The tray has reticulated edges and hand painted gilt trim around the top.
There is {minimal} wear to the tray as is to be expected, but the exquisite floral center is in such beautiful condition, what you want to see in old trays like this. Back has remnants of the velvet protective covering. Display on your mantel, on your sideboard, with your collection of toleware in your library, or anywhere you are looking for a decorative piece of history to make you smile each and every time you see it.
