Delightful Antique French Pink Plates with Cherubs, a set of 6, made in the late 1800’s by A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart, Saint Amand. The company was established in 1705 in Saint Amand-les-Eaux, a town on the border with Belgium in northern France. Renowned for their fine quality craftsmanship and beautiful intricate designs, this pottery played a significant role in French ceramic artistry during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The beautiful pink colored pattern is called Trianon, named after the small palace Marie Antoinette built with a small garden settlement that resembled a rural village. Two cherubs are featured amidst rococo scrolls, flowers and gardens with Trianon buildings in the back ground. There are two different versions of these two sweet charmers, three of each design. In good antique condition, with a few small misses in the transfer which is to be expected for these early plates. Please view the photos. Sure to delight your table, or to display with your other antique French faience, these add a feminine touch to any setting. A fantastic find, each is in good antique condition. These look exquisite layered on top of other antique dishes. Marked by the factory on the back with their back stamp.
