Antique French Palais Royal Porcelain & Gilt Ormolu Egg Shaped Casket, with beautifully hand painted pink roses and a bird on the soft green background. This delicate 19th century Napoleon III era Palais Royal treasure is supported with dore bronze stand that has four ball feet.

The painting is exceptional, both halves are in good condition. A rare to find example of this fine 19th century work, there are very few caskets with hand painted tops like this.  The casket opens and closes well, it has all the patina and age we adore. For accuracy: I note a very miniscule hairline that does not go all the way through which I found under the magnifying glass.
