Antique French Limoges Signed Hand Painted Cabinet Plate with Tulips, such a bright and cheerful floral plate.  Painted by artist Baralhé, on a porcelain plate rimmed with 24kt gold, this gorgeous plate features a bouquet of cut tulips. Very well painted, the flowers dance around the plate beautifully, their leaves have beautiful details.

I have seen this same design before, but not painted as skillfully as this one is. The colors are warm shades of red, orange, apricot, yellow and green, so beloved during the time period this was painted in 1908-1915. The marks are P.M Mavaleix and the Latrille Freres Porcelain company, Old Abbey, which honored the Latrille brother’s father who operated the factory in an old abbey before the sons took over from him.
