Rare to find antique French lavender purple floral plates in the Epine pattern, from the Sarreguemines faiencerie, date marked early 1900’s. The pottery at Sarreguemines was established in 1784, and had great success during the Empire period, Napoleon ordered whole sets of dinnerware and bestowed an honor to the company. Renowned for their fine quality craftsmanship and beautiful intricate designs, this pottery played a significant role in French ceramic artistry during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The beautiful floral pattern in a romantic soft lavender color has branches with flowers and buds intertwined with flowing ribbons. Sure to delight your table, or to display with your other antique French faience, these add a feminine touch to any setting. A rare find, each is in good antique condition.
