Antique Flow Blue Plates with Floral Bouquets and Gold, a beautiful set of four plates, with stunning deep cobalt blue designs featuring large floral bouquets spaced between art nouveau design elements. The gently scalloped edge is outlined with a thin cobalt blue band, highlighted with hand painted 24 kt gold scrolls.
Named for the soft blue fade of the color, flow blue was and is still highly collectable and very beloved. Marked Regent on the reverse, this was made in England, around the mid 19th century. A wonderful set of four plates, to display, one has some ‘craquelure’ as is to be expected for plates of this age. I really upped the contrast for the plate with the craquelure so you can see it. All are beautiful!
