Antique Flow Blue Chinoiserie Scenes 3 piece Butter Dish, made by Royal Staffordshire, Burslem, Staffordshire, England, before 1896. This very beloved pattern features a cobalt blue willow and Chinese pagoda, making this butter dish a favorite amongst Blue Willow collectors as it goes so beautifully together.
The gilt hand accented underplate has embossed bows on the handles, the little round insert features a clear and crisp Chinoiserie scene. The lid is wonderfully detailed with a scrolled handle, gilt accents and plenty of floral and pagoda scenes. Beautiful! As often with the early flow blue, the bottom has more “flow” than the other pieces. A stellar addition to your flow blue collection.
