This paper Birthday Card trimmed with Lavender Silk Fringe was likely made in London, England, circa late 1800’s. Victorian Birthday Cards were made on high-quality paper and hand colored. A most collectable card, with the lovely faces of two Angels, one on each side. One side has “With loving Birthday Greetings” and the other “Thy days of Joy are to my memory dear.”
Each side has excellent detail and color and is in very good condition showing only slight wear. The fringe is there, and is such a lovely Purple Lavender color. A gorgeous treat for someone you love, or for your own collection. This would be outstanding in an antique frame.
