Antique Art Deco Ceramic and Silver Plate Biscuit Box, in a rare and wonderful oval shape. Beautifully decorated, with pink roses and sponged pink body. The top is “quilted”, boxes like these are extremely rare to find in this condition, they are prized by collectors. To find one in pink with roses is the creme de la creme. This beauty dates to 1910-1920.
Marked foreign on the bottom, which indicates this piece was meant for importing to another country in the early 1900’s. In good antique condition, there is a small chip under the bottom as shown. The metal mounting is in good condition, a wonderful addition to your collection of antique biscuit boxes.
