Incredible Museum Quality Limoges Ice Cream or Dessert Set, hand painted with exceptional Peonies in Pink & White, surrounded by masterfully executed Spring Green leaves and tendrils by a master painter. Large serving tray or platter and 9 smaller serving plates are painted on the finest Limoges translucent porcelain. Each decorative plate has an exquisite scallop shape, with fluted shell edges, hand applied 24 karat Gold gilding and sponged detailing, sublime! Beautiful gilt paste {or moriage} gold coin lattice work graces each piece, the flowers are embellished with hand enameled highlights. These truly are worthy of adding to the most prestigious  collection of antique French porcelains.

The smaller plates feature either Spring Green, French Bleu or Pink hand painted to the outer edge, the larger serving Tray features a soft Spring Green.  The gold highlights the scallop and shell motifs in a luxurious manner, this 10 piece set truly is a once in a life time find. The set is of the highest quality, rarely found and cherished and highly collectible. Romantic, feminine, and an amazing tribute to the superior porcelain makers and artists of days gone by, from a time when our Victorian ancestors wanted to display their wealth and status in an opulent manner.

The set is fully marked on the back with the green underglaze V.F. mark used in the early 1890’s, a published and confirmed Limoges manufacturer’s mark listed in Gaston’s Limoges Reference Book as an unidentified factory. The plates are double marked and also bear the A. Klingenberg decorating hallmark in red over-glaze used in the 1890’s.
