Antique 1800’s Apothecary French Old Paris Porcelain Jar with the original paper label for Extractum Gentiana L. The herb gentiana {gentian} was used for a wide variety of ailments, including stomach problems, skin issues and its anti-inflammatory properties. This jar would have been one of many at a 19th century pharmacy shop in France. Made of white porcelain, the narrow jar has its original lid with a knob handle.
A wonderful addition to your antique French collection, to display with the lid, or use to showcase your award winning lilacs or roses.
