Adorable Antique Children’s Cup, made by Brownhills Pottery Co, Staffordshire, England in 1880. Mugs like this were gifted to children on holidays and birthdays, and served as educational tools. This Nursery Tales series is coveted by collectors and it’s easy to see why!
The crisp image transfer printed in rich chocolate brown has four color polychrome hand painting, red, cobalt blue, yellow, green and brown {for the very big wolf!} The entire alphabet is printed on the back, such a charming addition to your ABC and children’s dish collections. In very good condition for being over 140 years old. One tiny chip to the underside rim. Applied handle is in wonderful condition. A rare treat!
