Antique French Art Nouveau Silver Manche A Gigot D'Agneau Monogram

Antique French Art Nouveau Silver Ham or Lamb Bone Holder, called "manche a gigot". {It will hold the bone while carving a leg of lamb or ham so that your hands stay clean.} The silver handle has a beautiful silver embossed rococo art nouveau design, it's hand engraved with an elegant script monogram of J R.

Made in the late 1800's to very early 1900's, the Art Nouveau period was relatively short, which makes art nouveau pieces rarer to find. The "business" end of the holder is silver plated and steel, it is in good working order but has some wear as pretty usual for these. Such a wonderful table antique to add to your collection and to use when entertaining in gracious style.

  • Measures 8-1/2" long.
