Antique 1800's Aurora Silver Plate Spooner with Birds

A captivating Antique 1800's Aurora Silver Plate Spooner with Birds on the Handles. Made Aurora Silver Plate Co. in the 1880's, it  features exquisite openwork handles adorned with finely cast songbirds. This exceptional piece embodies the elegance and artistry of 19th-century silver, the cylindrical body is richly engraved with  botanical motifs - ferns and ivy leaves contrasting beautifully with the smooth, polished surface. Each handle is an elaborate composition of scrolling vines and perched birds, symbolizing nature’s grace in the decorative arts of the 19th century.

Originally designed to hold spoons at the breakfast or tea table, this rare spooner now brings a touch of historical romance to any setting—perfect as a vase for small roses, a unique flatware holder, or a centerpiece in your silver collection. {I have one like this that holds my make-up brushes and Chanel lip glosses on my vanity.} Not perfect, the birds some loss on their wings, no doubt where a child rubbed them in wonder, and overall aging appropriate for the age of this beauty. Please only adopt if you can love her as she is.
